I shot Katie's maternity photos back in October, and if I wasn't so behind on my blog, I would link you there - that being said, Katie is fabulous. Full of energy, wit and fun. She's also extremely creative & talented in the sewing world. Graham, her handsome & darling son, was so tiny and fresh - and certainly did not want me to be taking his picture, but I'm glad I was able to capture some in between his hatred of me :). This adorable family, lives in an adorable coop community, that driving through I fell in love with.

Add the as mentioned adorable (and highly educated dad!) family, and well I pretty much was in bliss.

There son was about 7 weeks when we took this photos, and he was so much fun, still tiny but he had begun to create quite the personality for himself. His parents are amazing, and in awe. Thanks so much for letting me capture this wonderful time in your lives, guys!

There's obviously a million reasons why I love my job, but one of them happens to be that I get to see places I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get to see otherwise. I had never been to Finksburg, nor had I even heard of it - but the second I got there, I never wanted to leave again. Maureen and her beautiful daughter happened to just make the day even more perfect! :) Meghan was stunning, and I kept telling her mom how beautiful she was - but I think she just thought I was saying that as her photographer, but seriously? Check out this lil girl - SOOOO cute!

Gary, the dad said he was going to get 'a jersey'. Both Mom & Dad went to Virginia Tech, so I honestly (even though I knew I was on a freaking dairy cow farm) thought he was going to bring back a Hokies jersey or something - uh, NO. I now know a jersey is a cow ;).

Habby is STUNNING, and her personality is just as wonderful. Her husband and mother are pretty much the icing on the cake, making her family everything wonderful, only missing is a beautiful little girl (I'm sure!) who will be here come September. I had so much fun shooting Habby, she was open to anything and everything, and she even laughed at my jokes - which as I've said in the past, if you'll laugh at my jokes, than you are an instant hit with me! :) Congratulations guys, I can't wait to meet photograph your lil girl!

(I had to put one up of Habby's mother - who happens to be an awesome redken hair colorist at Rodi Salon&Spa (A - but really, isn't she stunning? I almost mistook her as my client when she answered the door, but I didn't see a baby belly!).

I have a lot of respect for a mother who knows how to dress, who values health & fitness, and who is incredibly outgoing with her family. All qualities I hope to reflect to my own children. Denise and her beautiful family were perfect - when (or rather, if ...) I do a "What to wear to your session" post, their family will definitely be included as a good example. They all wore shades of black, with out wearing the same thing - LOVE! And every ounce of their "good dressing" was exemplified in their kindness. Loved them, thanks for letting me take your first family photo guys! ♥

Can you tell it's wedding season with my lack of posting? As long as my clients get their photos on time, than my blog can fall a little bit behind! :). Here's a beautiful session I did with a brilliant family - who were fun enough to have 2 children 18 months apart! (Can you say Super Momma?). Mom and dad are both computer science engineers - I told you, BRILLIANT! They were passionate and fun, and more than willing to just 'be' rather than for me to tell them everything to do - no complaints there! Congratulations on your newborn son guys, you have a beautiful family!

One of my past maternity couples of course, had a baby. The most handsome little guy ever. I get so excited for my maternity clients to have babies - especially when this is their first. To see how much they change just from one session to the next, meeting 'officially' their baby. It's beautiful. I asked dad what his favorite part about being a parent was, and he said "knowing that when he cries, and I soothe him, that I did that - I knew how to soothe him and no one else did and no one else can quite like I could." It was pretty adorable.

Congratulations guys, you have a beautiful family! Happy Birthday Noah!!

Have I told everyone how much I love babies enough lately? If for some reason not - I ♥LOVE♥LOVE♥LOVE♥ babies! Fresh babies! Fresh little babies that I can hold and photograph - and then leave when they are fussy and don't let you sleep at 3 in the morning! :). The lovely Ken & Roni are one of the most amazing couples I've ever met - they kind of didn't believe me when I told them this, but it's oh-so-true. (I always seem to have the best clients!!). Their beautiful son was due on February 9th - the day the awful "Blizzard of 2010" occured. Well, he was kind enough to wait - until Valentines day♥! The dad was my good friend my freshman year of high school at one school. The mom was a good friend my junior year at a different high school. I then moved across the country to Utah, and they met while in college. I was suprised (but excited) that two of my great friends were dating each other. I was (more) excited however, when many many years after dating - a baby came! Seeing my friends become parents, has been one of the most amazing experiences! Congrats Brittny & Alex! ♥

Ladies & Gentlemen - something is in the water in Odenton - beware! :). But thankfully - that same something in the water, is producing only beautiful babies with the most loving of parents. Cathryn emailed me and let me know that they were thinking about inducing her later in the week - (though her due date was not officially until the end of the month). Well wouldn't you know, that their little guy had plans of his own - and came healthy (AND FAST!!!) - a week EARLY. THEIR FIRST BABY!? How Lucky! :) Most first time mothers have to wait over their due dates! Cathryn and her husband (and their sons lucky mom-mom), are some of the most loving parents. And while most dads are competitive worthy swaddlers (moms got it for this little family!), the dad is probably one of THE MOST EXCITED new father's I've ever photographed. Awesome, guys! Thanks for choosing me to capture this beautiful breath life & experience - and I can't wait to watch your bundle of joy grow!

Please - take a deep breath! Sheri is the pregnant woman we all wish we were - target gainers, who maintain beauty everywhere else. She has the cutest & most perfect belly, and looks stunning! I kept telling her how jealous every other pregnant woman is - and she didn't believe me, but I know everyone will agree with me! P.S. What is it with people in Odenton having the most beautiful homes? You should see theres.....

Sheri & her husband were kind of scared that I was taking their pictures 'in the dark'. They did not believe me when I said "The flash bouncing will work, I promise...". So Sheri & Ken - here's proof! :)

(See the huge fish? Sheri's husband caught that the day after their wedding at 5AM in the morning, his first time ever fishing. Pretty freaking incredible, huh?)

I talk 1,000 miles per minute - let me tell you that before hand. I can't believe I haven't had a client say "woah" yet ha! [My family sure does....]. However, if you can keep up with me - even if you're not exactly speaking as fast, well I'm going to get even more excited! :) Dana & her husband Otto are pretty amazing in this department. They are fun, outgoing, and yet still conservative - love it♥! Plus their daughter happens to share names with my daughter, which obviously means we all have excellent taste.... RIGHT?! It was great working with you guys, thank you for making the trek down to Baltimore from Northern Va!

That was my absolute favorite - just because of their little girls smile. She was SO smiley! You would say her name and SMILES galore - I've never had a baby smile so easily - especially as COLD as it was!!

P.S. Dana's AWESOME denims are "Paige" made for us curvier girls (her words! not mine, as obviously She is killerrrrrr!!!). Check 'em out, here.

Babies... I say this all the time - and I will forever continue to say it. Please have them & then please choose me to photograph them! :) I love♥ newborns - and the best part of photographing them in all their beautiful fresh glory - is that at the end of the shoot, I get to go home and enjoy sleep, still! Liz & her family were absolutely stunning - you should SEE their house! She told me that in another life she was an interior designer - but like I needed to be told - it was obvious. She also saw eye to eye with me on a lot of things, and it's always fun to speak to like minded people! Thanks for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family Liz!

First time mom's are funny - they are in the "new parent" overprotective (but understandable) parenting stage. This is Liz's third... she was very flexible!

(Like when I purposely wanted her baby to cry? She was ok with that too....)

The beautiful Jennifer referred her beautiful friend Laurie to me, and OH! was I delighted. I love photographing beautiful families - especially in their homes! So personal & it makes things {usually} a bit easier for kids because they aren't overwhelmed by being in a new atmosphere. Laurie & her family have an amazing beautiful home - it's got a gorgeous open layout, and it was a delight working with them! Hope you guys like the results!

Laurie (uncannily) resembles a friend of mine that cheers for the Baltimore Ravens - she's (Laurie) stunning!!

Have you heard of Smithsburg? Yeah - I hadn't either. But it's Maryland's best kept secret - because it's absolutely beautiful. Rural, Mountainess, Landscape haven galore!! The best part of Smithsburg is the Furajter family though! (Was that a little too OVER THE TOP cheesy? ha). Seriously though, beauty & kindness illuminate from this family!

Those awesome prints above the babys changing table were made by her awesome 2 year old sister... Mom pretty much rocks it when it comes to artistic talent - you should see every room in their house!

And I realize that there are lots of black & whites in this shoot - I was feeling it with the mood! But don't worry to the parents (Or those viewing...) I always include tons of style shots - not just black & whites! :) Thanks again Amanda & Fam!

Past clients, Alexa & Ellery had their baby boy - a healthy, beautiful baby he is! I absolutely love newborn photo shoots - they are (normally) the longest & hardest of any type of shoot - but so so worth it. To see new parents, to see the beautiful freshness of life - Ohhh please pick me if you are going to have a baby photographed!! :) (Or any reason for that matter...) Alexa & Ellery came so naturally to parenting, it was a delight seeing them in that moment.

This lovely family, had a beautiful home - with a gorgeous backyard. The beautiful children only seemed appropriate. 4 girls - can you IMAGINE!? When I was talking to the mom in an email, I asked her how she was able to do it - and let me just say, she does it with a LOT of class.

I loved that one - even though it's not the most technically-correct, amidst all the chaos, she stands still...

My favorite of the session - the best part was, they all casually got up and sat there - it was them playing, and it happened to just be a perfect shot.

Seeing couples in love is amazing - so weddings & engagements are always a blast - that fresh new love. But a very close is the blooming love that is a pregnant mother to be.
